AL announces maximum names of central committee

The Bangladesh Awami League announced almost all names of its central committee a week after holding its 20th National Council.

The announcement was made on Saturday through a press release, issued by party’s Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap. The ruling party also named the members of advisory council, parliamentary board and the board for local government elections, report agencies.

Although 3 presidium member posts and 4 secretary posts still remain vacant.

Sheikh Hasina was re-elected as president while Obaidul Quader replaced Syed Ashraful Islam as the party’s general secretary. The ruling party chose the new leadership for the next three years on Oct 23, the second day of its council
