BIAC partners with Thai counterpart to forge co-op

Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Thailand Arbitration Centre (THAC), according to a statement.

Mahbubur Rahman, Chairman of BIAC, and Pasit Asawawattanaporn, Managing Director of THAC, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations and exchanged in the office of THAC, Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.

This MoU is intended to explore areas of co-operation in respect of the use of facilities and services of both the centres on alternative dispute resolution (ADR), jointly organising training and seminar, knowledge sharing and other relative issues.

Asawawattanaporn expressed his gratitude for taking such initiatives of signing this MoU and helping both countries to work together for resolving commercial disputes between the businesses of both the countries.

Rokia A. Rahman, Vice President of the International Chamber of Commerce- Bangladesh (ICC-B), Ataur Rahman, Secretary General, International Chamber of Commerce- Bangladesh (ICC-B), Pawien, Deputy Managing Director of business development, THAC and senior officials of THAC were also present at the signing ceremony.

The Thailand Arbitration Centre is established to provide arbitration, mediation to resolve civil and commercial disputes in Thailand and other countries.
