Dhaka stocks see marginal loss

The Dhaka bourse ended the Monday’s session with a marginal loss amid choppy trading.


The market started the session positively but soon later the broad index failed to continue the upward trend on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

At the end of the session, DSE broad index, DSEX lost 0.35 per cent or 16.67 points to close at 4692.94 points.

The turnover stood at above Tk 4.56 billion which was 5.60 per cent less than the turnover of the previous session.

Of 322 issues traded, 93 advanced, 173 declined and 56 were unchanged.

Doreen Power Generations and Systems topped the volume chart with a turnover of Tk 183 million followed by BSRM Limited Tk 173 million, National Bank Limited Tk 171 million, Square Pharmaceuticals Tk 123 million and BBS Tk 96 million.
