Rising startup Field Buzz has been judged the winners of the second edition of Seedstars Dhaka on Friday at the awards ceremony of Digital World.
Minister of Finance AMA Muhith was present during the ceremony to distribute the prize to the winning team members, reports UNB.
“The judges mentioned our transformative social impact potential as well as the financial viabiliy of our business model and the overall quality of our product as decisive criteria,” said one of the members of Field Buzz.
They will join the global Seedstars Family and take part in the regional and global Seedstars Summits that include a boot camp and an investor forum and one flight ticket for the winner to come to Switzerland to compete for over $1mn in investment, and then represent Bangladesh at the Seedstars World Summit in Switzerland in April next year.
Their software, according to their pitch, helps organisations manage their field operations with smartphones, bringing transparency & effectiveness to the "last mile".
Identifying problems such as remote/dispersed operations (employees & processes) in developing-country contexts are inefficient, non-transparent, with errors & fraud, they came up with a probable solution that their software and expertise will help organisations to introduce IT systems to track activities and transactions right up to the last mile.
The other three finalists were ShopUp, 10 Minute School and CMED Health.
