Hong Kong shares bounce slightly on Friday by worries a US rate hike next month and a strengthening dollar could divert money away from emerging markets, putting it on course for its fourth weekly loss.
The benchmark Hang Seng index added 0.3 per cent, to 22,318.66 points, losing nearly 1.0 per cent for the week.
The Hong Kong China Enterprises Index gained 0.1 per cent, to 9,339.29.
While there is concern higher US rates could draw money out of emerging markets, the impact has been felt more in the Hong Kong stock market which is more exposed to global shifts in funds.
Most sector in Hong Kong rose, as gains in tech shares offset weakness in raw materials sector, according to a news agency report.
