Muhith launches online tax return submission system

Taxpayers will now be able to submit their tax return through online. Tax can be paid through e-payment system and taxpayers will get acknowledgement paper and certificate online, reports BSS.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith inaugurated the online system at NBR`s Agargaon Bhaban here today.

"Taxpayers will now be able to submit tax return from their home," said the finance minister.

Country`s 649 tax circles under the 31 tax zones have been connected with the main server.

A Vietnam based IT firm FPT Information Systems Corporation has been implementing the online system at a cost of Tk 510 million provided by Asian Development Bank (ADB).
