NBL tops turnover list

National Bank Limited Wednesday topped the volume chart on the country`s both the bourses.

The companies which secured top five positions in the turnover chart of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) were National Bank Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems, Grameenphone, Active Fine Chemicals and Summit Power.

The top five turnover leaders of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) were National Bank Limited, Aramit Cement, BSRM Limited, Active Fine Chemicals and ACME Laboratories.

Among the turnover leaders of the premier bourse, the National Bank Limited topped the turnover chart with a value of Tk 361.20 million and captured 6.4 per cent of the market turnover.

Doreen Power Generations and Systems featured a turnover a turnover of Tk 208.3 million which was 3.7 per cent of the turnover witnessed by the premier bourse.

The Grameenphone posted a turnover of Tk 145 million which was 2.6 per cent of the turnover witnessed by the Dhaka bourse.

Active Fine Chemicals captured 2.3 per cent of the market turnover by posting a turnover of Tk 127.80 million.

The Summit Power featured a turnover of Tk 126.2 million and captured 2.3 per cent of the market turnover.

On the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), National Bank Limited was the number one turnover leader with a value of above Tk 24.74 million followed by Aramit Cement above Tk 14.67 million, BSRM Limited above Tk 12.73 million, Active Fine Chemicals above Tk 9.18 million and ACME Laboratories above Tk 8.79 million.
