NBR cancels tax officers’ holidays in November

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) cancelled all holidays of tax officers for the rest of current month throughout Bangladesh.

The decision was made to facilitate income tax return submissions.

The offices will remain open from 9am to 8pm for taxpayers to submit returns, said NBR’s Senior Information Officer Syed A Mu`men, report agencies.

Meanwhile, the first-ever Income Tax Week will begin in the country on November 24.

NBR is organising the event to provide taxpayers with all tax related services including filing up of income tax return under a single roof.

The Income Tax Week 2016, which is scheduled to end on November 30, will be held at 649 field level circle offices under 31 tax zones of the NBR.

The NBR will also observe the National Income Tax Day on the concluding day on November 30.
