Titas Gas tops DSE turnover chart

Titas Gas Sunday topped the volume chart on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), whereas BSRM Limited grabbed the top turnover leader`s position on the port city bourse.

The top 10 turnover leaders captured 26.1 per cent of the total market turnover worth above Tk 4.83 billion featured by the premier bourse.

The chart of the DSE`s turnover leaders also includes National Bank Limited, BSRM Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems and MJL Bangladesh.

The market prices of Titas Gas, National Bank Limited and Bangladesh Building Systems rose marginally, whereas BSRM Limited and MJL Bangladesh witnessed price corrections.

Titas Gas was the number one turnover leader with a value of Tk 268.1 million which was 5.5 per cent of the turnover witnessed by the premier bourse. The company`s shares were traded at the prices ranging from Tk 49.60 to Tk 51.10.

National Bank Limited posted a turnover of Tk 178.90 million and captured 3.70 per cent of the market turnover. The company`s share price rose 2.11 per cent to close at Tk 9.70.

The turnover of the BSRM Limited stood at Tk 160.5 million which was 3.3 per cent of the market turnover. The company`s share price witnessed 2.88 per cent price correction to close at Tk 148.20.

The Bangladesh Building Systems was the fourth turnover leader with a value of Tk 123.2 million. The company captured 2.5 per cent of the market turnover. The company`s share price rose 3.16 per cent to close at Tk 39.10.

MJL Bangladesh featured a turnover of Tk 111.1 million and captured 2.3 per cent of the market turnover. The company`s share price went down by 0.51 per cent to close at Tk 118.30.

On the port city bourse, the BSRM Limited was the number one turnover leader with a value of Tk 20.29 million followed by Jamuna Bank Tk 12.42 million, National Bank Limited Tk 9.66 million, Titas Gas Tk 9.63 million and Square Pharmaceuticals Tk 8.69 million.
