Walton becomes title sponsor of Bangladesh-Afghanistan series

Bangladeshi tech-giant Walton has become the title sponsor of the upcoming Bangladesh-Afghanistan series.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officially announced the name of title sponsor in a press conference at Mirpur Home of cricket on Tuesday (June 13). Later, the official logo of the series was unveiled.

Besides, iScreen is the powered by sponsor while UCAI University Bangladesh Branch Campus is the co-sponsor, and cosmetics brand Remark is the associate sponsor of the series.
Impress Mattra Consortium will work as a title and ground branding rights holder in the series.

Walton has been sponsoring almost all major domestic cricket events in Bangladesh for long days. At the same time, the company becomes the title sponsor in international cricket events. Walton is a known brand in the current cricket world and a cricket friendly institution.

BCB Director Tanvir Ahmed Titu, and on behalf of the title sponsor Walton, chief marketing and communication officer Didarul Alam Khan attended the press conference.
Tanvir Ahmed said thanks to Walton. Walton is a part of the Bangladesh Cricket Board and cricket family. Walton`s journey with Bangladesh cricket has been for a long time. Sometimes they become title sponsors or sometimes co-sponsor. They are always with Bangladesh cricket. I hope that their journey with cricket will continue.

Walton Chief Marketing and communication officer Didarul Alam Khan said Walton`s friendship with Bangladesh cricket is very old. We have been involved in the service of cricket for 12-13 years. We want to thank Bangladesh Cricket Board for it.

Actor Riaz Uddin Ahmed Siddique, associate sponsor Remark’s executive director Jamal Uddin and Impress Mattra Consortium’s Sayma Begum Ritu attended the function.

Afghanistan will kick start their tour of Bangladesh with a one-off Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on June 14.
